Fernando Torres is a best price 28/1 to be Premiership top scorer after his £50million move to Chelsea

Gabriel Obertan’s agent has denied reports that the French winger wants to leave Manchester United as he doesn’t believe he is good enough to make the grade at Old Trafford.

It was reported that Obertan had handed in a transfer request, and wished to return home to a club in Ligue 1.

However, the player’s agent, Karim Djaziri, insisted that the Frenchman had not handed in a transfer request and is happy to stay at Old Trafford.

“I have read that Gabriel has handed in a transfer request, but no, he has not done this,” Djaziri told skysports.com. “He is very happy at Manchester United and he doesn’t want to leave. He is still learning and he knows he is not ready to be a regular starter in the team, but he is working hard to be a member of the first team.”

Obertan’s United career has stalled and he has made just four league starts since joining in the summer of 2009. He scored his first goal in a November Champions League victory at Bursaspor.
