Real Madrid are out to 6/1 to win La Liga after their 1-0 defeat to Osasuna last night…

Sergio Aguero has signed a contract extension with Atletico Madrid to end speculation linking him with a big-money move to Tottenham.

Spurs were reported to have lodged a club record £38.5million bid on Sunday night for the Argentinian international.

The 22-year-old striker agreed a two-and-a-half-year extension to his existing deal on Monday.

Despite the speculation, the striker was keen to publicly commit himself to the club, insisting he will not be leaving the Vicente Calderon.

“I’m staying here because I want to,” Aguero told the club’s official website.

“The club has always treated me very well. I am very happy, and that’s why I renewed my contract.”

“I have respect for the clubs that are interested in me – great clubs like Chelsea, Barcelona and Manchester United. If in June, the club and I decide that it is best that I find a new club, it will be a decision we make together, but for now I am only thinking about trying to get into the Champions League with this team.”
