Ronald Koeman admits that there is little Ajax can do to prevent Hatem Trabelsi leaving the club at the end of the season.
The defender has attracted the interest of Manchester United and and Trabelsi is preparing to move on, possibly on a free transfer.
“Trabelsi has expressed to us that he wants to leave,” explained Koeman.
“He has got ambition.”
Meanwhile, Brazilian Maxwell looks likely to remain in Holland, despite reported interest from Inter.
“Maxwell doesn’t yet have the urge to leave Ajax,” said Koeman.
