Niclas Alexandersson has joined IFK Gothenburg on a two and half year contract, the Swedish club have confirmed.

Alexandersson, out of favour at Everton since the arrival of David Moyes as manager, will move to Gothenburg on July 1 as a free agent after his current contract expires

The 32-year-old has not played for Everton all season, played for IFK for two years during the 1990s and helped them win the league title in 1996.
