Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has admitted he would like to bring Liverpool striker Fernando Torres to Stamford Bridge.
Torres’ future at Anfield has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks following Liverpool’s failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Chelsea striker Didier Drogba sparked rumours of a Chelsea bid for Torres by revealing earlier this week the Spaniard would be his ideal strike partner.
Ancelotti has now refused to rule out a move for Torres.
“It’s not only Drogba – I would like to play with Torres. He’s a very good player,” said Ancelotti.
“But this is not an issue for now. He is a Liverpool player and is a good striker but we have two fantastic strikers and this is not for this moment.”
