Milan owner and Italian Premier Minister Silvio Berlusconi has admitted coach Carlo Ancelotti has a decision to make about whether to join Real Madrid.

Real are hoping to lure Ancelotti away from Milan, although the former Juventus coach says he is happy to stay put.

“Generally when a big team links your name to theirs, it is an honour nd always flattering,” said Ancelotti.

“But I’ve a contract with an big club whom I hope to be with for many years, Milan.”

However, Berlusconi says Ancelotti must still make up his mind between the two clubs.

“Between us and Real Madrid it will be for Carlo Ancelotti to decide,” said Berlusconi.

“We have a really good coach that we love who is called Carlo Ancelotti.

“If I could make a law to keep him in Italy I would do it, but we are in a democracy.

“Anyway Carlo has a contract with us and I think he will respect it.”

Current Juve coach Fabio Capello is another to be linked with the Real vacancy, but like Ancelotti, he insists he is happy with life in Serie A.

“I’ll coach for another three years, I’m under contract with Juve, the problem doesn’t exist,” said Capello.

“We will see when that contract expires what will happen.”
