Celta Vigo have appointed Radomir Antic as their new coach, following Miguel Angel Lotina’s sacking on Monday.

Antichas agreed a contract until 30 June, with the option of a further 12 months.

Lotina was sacked following Sunday’s 5-2 home defeat by Real Sociedad , which left the Galician side just a point clear of the relegation zone in 17th place.

Last year Antic became the first man to have coached Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid when he replaced Louis van Gaal at the Camp Nou. He was subsequently replaced by Frank Rijkaard.
