Roma goalkeeper Francesco Antonioli saved a late penalty to earn his team a 2-2 draw against city rivals Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.

After a goalless first half, the game sprung to life in the 51st minute when Stefano Fiore capitalised on a defensive mix-up to fire Lazio ahead.

But Roma responded with with two goals in nine minutes, the first from Marco Delvecchio, the second from Gabriel Batistuta.

Lazio equalised 15 minutes from time through Dejan Stankovic’s header and could have won the game when Simone Inzaghi’s shirt was pulled by Jonathan Zebina. But Sinisa Mihajlovic’s penalty was saved brilliantly by Antognoni.
