Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein has told Barcelona that Thierry Henry is going nowhere this summer.

Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard has admitted his interest in Henry, Arsenal’s leading scorer last season with 25 goals.

But Dein told BBC Radio Four: “Thierry Henry’s our player and will remain so.”

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said that he has no plans to dismantle his squad.

He told the club’s website: “I have not planned to buy too many and to be busy would mean we were under tremendous stress to sell players, which we don’t want to do.”
