Spain beat Germany 1-0 to win Euro 2008, but what price are they to go on and become World Champions in South Africa in 2010?

Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack has said he is in no hurry to sign a new contract with the club, but insists that he is eager to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Ballack, who has been given an extended break by the club due to his exertions for Germany at Euro 2008, believes there is still plenty of time to consider his future.

“I have a contract until 2009 and there is an option to extend it, so there is no need to rush,” he told Bild. “We will just wait and see what happens.

“I am playing in the best league in the world with one of the strongest teams in the world. That’s why at the moment there is no question of me returning to the Bundesliga,” Ballack said.”
