Mario Balotelli insists he has no intention of switching his international allegiance to Ghana.

The Italian-born striker has played for the country of his birth at youth level – but he is eligible to play for Ghana via his parents.

Ghana have already confirmed they would like to call up Balotelli for this summer’s World Cup finals.

But the 19-year-old insists he is intent on playing for the Azzurri.

“I have never thought of playing for Ghana. If I go with a national team it will be Italy,” Balotelli said.
