Barcelona are confident of signing Juventus duo Gianluca Zambrotta and Lilian Thuram.
The Spanish and European champions are in talks with Juve and are hoping to complete a deal early next week.
“Conversations are well advanced but until everything is signed it is best to wait,” said sports director Txiki Begiristain.
“We are very optimistic and confident we can settle the operation before Monday.”
Spanish sources have suggested that World Cup winner Zambrotta will join for £13 million, while veteran defender Thuram will be offered an initial one-year contract.
Zambrotta has also been linked with Real Madrid and Chelsea, but Barca have emerged as frontrunners as they look to build on last season’s successes.
