Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Anatoli Tymoschuk.

The Ukrainian international is now set to join the Bundesliga giants at the end of the season.

“Tymoschuk is definitely coming,” Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told the club’s official website.

Tymoschuk’s current deal with Zenit is set to expire on 28th February, but his new contract with Bayern cannot start until 1st July.

He will therefore stay in Russia, playing and training with Dick Advocaat’s side, until June, before taking a break prior to joining up with his new employers.

“That’s what we’ve agreed with St Petersburg president (Aleksandr) Djukov and coach Advocaat,” added Rummenigge.

Tymoschuk becomes the third player to agree to a move to the Allianz Arena, with Hamburg striker Ivica Olic and Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Alexander Baumjohann already signed up.
