Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has dismissed reports linking the club with a move for Celtic’s Aiden McGeady.

Rumours of a possible summer move for McGeady emerged earlier this week after Republic of Ireland boss and former Bayern coach Giovanni Trapattoni claimed the German club’s coach, Jurgen Klinsmann, had sounded him out about the winger.

Rummenigge has moved to dismiss the speculation insisting he knows nothing of any interest in the 22-year-old.

“I do not know about the ‘fact’ that we are interested in McGeady. And normally I should know something,” Rummenigge told TZ.
