Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness has admitted an interest in signing Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso.
The Bundesliga leaders are set for a return to the Champions League next season after failing to qualify for the competition this year, and it has been reported that Gattuso has already agreed a contract with Bayern until 2011.
Hoeness has dismissed that speculation, but admits that he would like to sign Gattuso.
“That isn’t true,” Hoeness told German reporters when asked whether the 30-year-old had agreed a deal with Bayern. “But Gattuso is an interesting player.”
