Bayern Munich have played down reports they have opened negotiations with Manchester City over a deal to sell Brazilian defender Lucio.
It had been suggested City officials travelled to Germany recently to thrash out a deal for Lucio after failing to sign John Terry.
However, Bayern say they have not met with any club regarding the 31-year-old former Bayer Leverkusen stopper.
“Bayern have not met with anyone regarding Lucio, there is also no enquiry or phone call concerning a transfer bid,” Bayern spokesman Markus Horwick told Deutsche Presseagentur.
“Lucio is actually on holiday and we hope he has a good time there before returning to pre-season training with us.”
