Bayern Munich say they have no intention of selling Owen Hargreaves, despite the England midfielder’s pleas to leave the German champions for Manchester United.

Hargreaves has repeatedly asked to leave Bayern and move to Old Trafford so that he could be near his Bolton-based family.

However Bayern are in no mood for a deal.

“Our stance is the same – nothing will happen in the winter break,” general manager Uli Hoeness said in Kicker.

Manchester United tried to sign Hargreaves earlier this season but Bayern rejected the bid, pointing out that the midfielder had recently signed a contract extension until June 2010.

Hargreaves has not played since September 16 when he broke his leg in Bayern’s 2-1 defeat to Arminia Bielefeld.
