Rafael Benitez has admitted that Liverpool could be subject to a takeover bid.
The Premiership club has been looking for new investment for over two years and has attracted recent interest from several prospective buyers.
The Liverpool board, who are hoping to attract new investment to help them fund their proposed new stadium, will discuss the matter at a board meeting on Thursday
“The board will do what is best for the club,” Benitez said.
“I have been given some information but I am not worried about this situation. There are people interested but that is normal for such a big club. This is not something I can control so I don’t think about it.”
