Bayer Leverkusen striker Dimitar Berbatov continues to be linked with a move away from Germany after he was watched by several scouts at the weekend.

The Bulgarian forward has scored 16 goals in the Bundesliga this season and has attracted attention from several clubs outside Germany.

Dortmund’s director of sport, Michael Zorc, has admitted that a lot of teams wanted to see the striker.

He said: “We received more requests for free tickets from foreign clubs than ever before.”

Meanwhile, Berbatov has played down reports linking him with a move to Tottenham and admitted he might prefer La Liga.

Berbatov said: “I really like the style of football played in Spain.

“However, we have five more games to play and then we’ll see if any club will table the amount of money required and then the negotiations might start.”
