Blackburn have signed veteran full-back Michel Salgado on a two-year contract.
The Spaniard moves to Ewood Park as a free agent having been released by Real Madrid earlier during the summer.
During a memorable spell in the Spanish capital he helped Real to four league titles, three Spanish Super Cups, two Champions League titles, the Uefa Cup and the Intercontinental Cup .
He has also been capped 53 times by his country, appearing at the 2000 European Championships and 2006 World Cup.
