Bojan Krkic has reiterated his intention to stay at Barcelona and stated he has no desire to go out on loan as he does not believe it would benefit him to spend time away from Camp Nou.

The 18-year-old has been linked with various clubs, including Ajax and Paris St Germain, who could offer him regular first-team football next season.

But, the youngster is confident that he should stay and prove himself under Pep Guardiola.

“I have never even thought about going, firstly because I have faith in my chances, something that was reaffirmed to me last year, and secondly because I believe that I can compete with the players and that I can play in a team with the level of Barca,” Krkic told Catalunya Radio.

“I am at home because here I have my club, my family, my friends and in no other place would things be so good.

“At Barca, the best team in the world, we will always have the best defenders, the best midfielders and the best forwards, which is key.

“But I am keen to show that players from the youth team are also important. I try to stay away from the stories and ignore it all.

“Barcelona is the best club in the world and to leave would be a mistake.

“I saw that some clubs are interested in loaning me for next season. I am grateful to those, but my dream is to stay at Barca.”

Guardiola may not have given Krkic many opportnities to start this season, but there are signs that the coach has faith in the player and that has given him hope.

“He showed that he trusts me in Almeria when he named me in the starting team. For me that was a very important moment,” the striker added.

“We are not thinking about winning things, but instead go from game-to-game. The truth is that we are all proud that the team is playing for everything and that we are making history.

“To finish well it is important that we are mentally strong.”
