Bolton manager Sam Allardyce says Ivan Campo could join Real Mallorca – but only if the Spanish club match their valuation of the defender.

Campo is out of contract at the end of the season, and his agent has admitted he is keen on a move to the La Liga side.

Allardyce said: “He won’t be leaving until the end of his deal unless they pay a lot of money for him.

“It might be a possibility for Ivan and he could sign a contract for Real Mallorca now

“If not he should be trying to get back in the team, now he is fully fit. He finishes his suspension which has affected him and us an awful lot.

“Hopefully he can take up the mantle after Watford when some players are away and show us his old abilities and capabilities.

“That may then encourage us to give him a new contract at the end of the season, which I would like to think would be the case.”

Campo’s agent Miguel Angel Cermeno told Spanish newspaper Marca: “Someone has called us to say that Mallorca are interested.

“Ivan would be delighted to go back to Palma and although he is highly valued at Bolton it would be very sad and a scandal if nothing happens.

“From here we are waiting to see if Bolton are ready to accept his departure.”
