Bastia striker Brandao, who recieved a six-month ban for headbutting Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Thiago Motta, has been sentanced to one month in jail for the attack.
The 34-year-old Brazilian broke Motta’s nose in the incident, which ocurred after PSG’s 2-0 home win in August.
Brandao’s lawyer says he expects the punishment to be commuted to community service.
