Alan Curbishley has decided to walk away from Upton Park and we’ve got betting on who will become the next manager of West Ham United.

Gianluigi Buffon has rubbished suggestions he could leave Juventus to join Manchester City.

The Abu Dhabi United Group’s takeover at City has seen the Premier League club linked with a host of football’s biggest names, and having already broken the British transfer record fee to prise Brazilian striker Robinho from under the noses of Chelsea, there are reports of a world record bid of 360m for Buffon in January.

However, the 30-year-old has brushed off the speculation he could sign for City.

“It’s a journalist’s fantasy,” said Buffon.

“If an offer like that one arrived, I believe Juve would look at the numbers. But I doubt it would ever arrive.”
