Derby midfielder Craig Burley has been called up into the Scotland squad for the first time in eighteen months for the international friendly against Austria next week.

Burley is enjoying hisfirst extended run in the Derby first team this season after a year of injury problems.

Young Motherwell striker James McFadden has been promoted from the under-21’s into the senior squad for the first time. Rangers captain Barry Ferguson has been omitted from the squad as he is due to undergo tests on a pelvic problem next week.
