Burnley have rubbished a newspaper report that has suggested they are looking for a replacement for Brian Laws.
Since succeeding Owen Coyle in the Turf Moor dugout Laws has presided over just one win from ten games, a situation which has led to speculation that his position is in jeopardy.
The Sun claimed on Wednesday that Burnley chairman Barry Kilby is ready to act now, in a bid to halt a run of form that has them drop into the relegation zone.
However, Kilby insists the club remain fully behind their manager.
Kilby said, via an official club statement: “This is a ludicrous, irresponsible, damaging and inaccurate piece of journalism.
“We are not in the process of looking for a replacement for Brian and everyone involved with Burnley Football Club is putting every ounce of effort into staying in the Premier League.”
