England boss Fabio Capello has compared Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney to Real Madrid’s Raul.
The Italian has worked with both men and feels there are many similarities between the two.
“Wayne Rooney is one of the best talents I have trained. I think he is like Raul,” Capello told Sky Sports News.
“He is a really important player for a big club. Every time he trains he wants to learn.
“He wants to be on the pitch all the time. It is really important for him, and all the important players, to stay on the pitch.”
Capello is convinced England are one of the teams to beat in tis summer’s World Cup finals.
“I think we are one of the best teams. I think we can win games,” he added.
“I hope that our best players will be OK and will not have injuries for the World Cup.”
