Fabio Capello has described Real Madrid as lucky, but admits that his Juventus team face a huge challenge if they are to beat the Spanish club in the Champions League.

The Juve coach was speaking ahead of next week’s eagerly-awaited clash between the two teams.

“Since Wanderley Luxemburgo took over Madrid have improved,” Capello said.

“They recover the ball better and the defence is stronger, but they have even more luck now, a lot more luck.”

Capello, who led Madrid to the Spanish league title in 1997, is looking forward to taking on his former employers.

“This game is the tie of the round,” he ccontinued.

“When the draw was made in December everyone said that we would win because it seemed that we were on a high, while Madrid were struggling.

“But I said then that Madrid would recover and now the tie is going to be very, very close.

“Every player that they have worries me because of the amount of great players they have. At any point one of them can do something special and score a goal.”
