Juventus coach Fabio Capello was content with a point against Parma, aware that the result helped Juve extend their lead over Inter at the top of Serie A.

The Bianconeri were held to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday night, but Capello was happy after hearing that Inter had lost at Fiorentina.

“I’m happy because we have earned a point over Inter,” Capello said.

“The regret is that we could have earned another two.

“I must say in the first half we didn’t play in a good way, whilst in the second we did good things.

“Today luck has been with us because we have had a positive result from other sides.”

Brazilian midfielder Emerson was disappointed with the performance, but rrelieved that Inter were unable to close the gap at the top.

“We haven’t played a good match,” Emerson commented.

“We suffered although at the end we could have won, but in football everything can happen and now we think about the next match against Inter.

“Nerazzurri lost in Florence? We think to ourselves, today it went well for us.”
