Juventus coach Fabio Capello was pleased with his side’s 4-2 win over Livorno, but he gave credit to the Serie A strugglers for their performance.

The win, combined with Milan’s 0-0 draw at Palermo, saw Juve extend their lead to four points as the league approaches its midway point.

“I saw them against Internazionale and they were really good,” said Capello.

“We gifted them two goals because we stopped concentrating.

“I think we created some good chances and for 25 minutes in the first half, we were playing superbly.

“I think the team have suffered because the opposition’s concentration was better.”

Alessandro Del Piero was dropped for the previous game, but returned against Livorno to score the opener.

“There isn’t a problem,” added Capello. “I replaced him because I needed a different kind of player.

“But he came back in, scored and played well.

“I’ll repeat what I said. I can replace Del Piero just like I can replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic or any other player.”
