Benito Carbone has pledged his future to cash-strapped Parma despite reports linking him with a move to Fiorentina.
Coach Cesare Prandelli announced: “He believes that it isn’t right to leave in these difficult times and has decided to stay here,” he said.
“This is a great example of commitment for us given our problems off the field.”
In spite of their financial difficulties Parma currently lie in seventh place in Italy’s Serie A league table.
