Iker Casillas has denied reports that he is bound for Manchester United, claiming he wants to sign a new deal with Real Madrid.

“I want to stay here,” he said.

“I have been here 15 years and have no desire to leave.

“I want to renew my contract and stay, although there is still plenty of time before 2006.”

The 23-year-old shot-stopper refused to discuss the reports that Manchester United are keen on him, a move that would see him work with former Madrid coach Carlos Queiroz again.

“I am on good terms with Queiroz, but that is another subject,” he continued.

“The only thing I am thinking about is the sporting aspect and I am not demanding anything from Madrid.

“It is down to the club if they are happy with it and, if that is the case, then they will offer me a new deal.”
