Antonio Cassano’s agent has dismissed fresh speculation linking him with a move to Manchester City.

New City manager Roberto Mancini has being linked with a host of players back in his native Italy, and Cassano is the latest player reported to be interesting the former Inter boss.

But Giuseppe Bozzo insists that there is nothing in the reports.

“Antonio is very happy to play for Sampdoria and to be in Genoa,” Bozzo told Calciomercato.

“Manchester City? No one has ever contacted us and it is useless talking about something that does not exist and on the voices of the press.

Bozzo did admit that Cassano had a lot of respect for Mancini, but that originated from his time as manager of Inter.

“Between Antonio and Mancini remains a mutual respect because the former Inter coach has always spoken well of Cassano.”
