The draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the Champions League has been made at UEFA headquarters in Nyon.

The draw for the last eight has produced some intriguing ties including an all-England clash between Chelsea and Manchester United, which is a repeat of the 2008 final.

Holders Inter face German outfit Schalke, who this week fired their coach Felix Magath, while favourites Barcelona meet Shakhtar Donetsk, who are playing at this stage for the first time. In the draw’s other tie, nine-times winners Real Madrid take on Tottenham, who upset seven-times winners Milan in the previous round.

The draw for the semi-finals produced some potentially mouthwatering ties including the possibilty of an El Clásico meeting between Barcelona and Real Madrid provided both win their quarter-final ties.

In the other half of the draw the winners of the all-England tie between Chelsea and Manchester United will have to overcome either Inter or Schalke if they are to reach this year’s final at Wembley.
