Tickets for this year’s Champions League final will go on sale on Monday 17 March, UEFA has announced.

The match is being held on 28 May at Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium and all tickets will be sold via the UEFA website – www.uefa.com.

Applications for tickets must be made by 7 April and will be limited to two per person. After the closing date all applications received will be entered into a lottery-style draw to determine the successful applicants.

Old Trafford can hold 67,000 spectators.

This is the first time the final (which is the eleventh since the Champions League was launched) will be held in England, although under its former guise, the European Cup, the final was held at Wembley on four previous occasions.
