Bayern Munich v Ajax
Dutch Striker Roy Makaay will be hoping to add to his Champions League goal tally tonight as Bayern Munich entertain four-time winners Ajax.

Munich coach Felix Magath, who replaced Ottmar Hitzfeld in June, believes creative influences Ballack and Makaay can make the difference.

“They have enough experience on the international stage to make a decisive impact on a game like this.”

Koeman’s Ajax have injury problems with Maxwell and Pienaar both doubtful. The former Dutch international played down his side’s chances.

“We are a young talented team, but we’re up against experience and cleverness. Do not burden us with high hopes,” said Koeman.

Ajax are in search of their first points in the competition following their loss to Juventus, Munich are looking to consolidate their victory over Maccabi Tel-Aviv.
