Group G

CSKA Moscow coach Valeri Gazzaev is planning a hostile reception for Group G Arsenal for tonight’s Group G encounter.

“Every coach sets goals,” said Gazzaev, whose side lie two points behind Arsenal.

“We respect our opponents but our only aim is to win. We are full of ambition and won’t settle for anything less.”

CSKA have cause for optimism and their cause has beenhelped by the return of Brazilian duo Daniel Carvalho and Vágner Love following domestic suspensions.

“Arsenal are a complete team,” said Gazzaev. “They have an outstanding coach and don’t play typical English football. They like retaining the ball and playing a passing game, their defence is good too. But there are definitely weaknesses which we will try to exploit.”

Injuries may force Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger to give a debut to Brazilian youngster Denilson.

“He’s a little bit in between Tomas Rosický and Gilberto. He’s more a defensive midfielder but a good link player,” explained Wenger, who can call on fit-again Gael Clichy but not the injured Emmanuel Eboué.

“They have some good Brazilians and also seven players from the Russia team. They are a good side,” Wenger added.

“While I feel we can beat them, you always have ingredients in Moscow during October that you cannot master – it is already cold now.”

Probable teams:
CSKA:
Igor Akinfeev; Vasili Berezutskiy, Sergei Ignashevich, Aleksei Berezutskiy; Deividas Šemberas, Elvir Rahimic, Dudu, Yuri Zhirkov; Daniel Carvalho; Vágner Love, Ivica Olic.

Arsenal:
Jens Lehmann; Justin Hoyte, Johan Djourou, Kolo Toure, William Gallas; Tomáš Rosický, Gilberto, Cesc Fabregas, Aleksandr Hleb; Robin van Persie, Thierry Henry.
