Group F Kick-off: 19-45 (BST)

It is almost a year since Internazionale last won in the Champions League but, after a 5-0 win at Genoa on Saturday, coach José Mourinho is confident the Nerazzurri can end that run against Dynamo Kyiv.

The Portuguese has encouraged his players to “enjoy the moment” while his opposite number Valeri Gazzaev warned: “The domestic league and the Champions League are two different competitions.”

“There are four matches left to play in the group so I wouldn’t say this result will be decisive, but it will be very important because if we win we will gain confidence and play the remaining games without fear,” said Mourinho. “Otherwise, there will be even more pressure on us. We have obtained different results in the league and in Europe, but this team has all it needs to do well in the Champions League as well.

“After the important victory at Genoa, the best way to get ready for this game is not to rest or change players; the secret is to enjoy the moment.

“Dynamo are a complete team. They’re physically strong, they have good players and they are well-organised because their coach is good. Moreover they’re dangerous on the flanks. Then they have one of the best Ukrainian strikers, Milevskiy, plus Shevchenko.

Dynamo will be without Badr El Kaddouri (ankle), Andriy Nesmachniy (knee), Olexandr Shovkovskiy (stomach), Tiberiu Ghioane (thigh), Goran Sabljić, Pape Diakhate, but Gazzaev remains upbeat.

“We’re in good condition but unfortunately [goalkeeper] Shovkovskiy didn’t travel with us because he suffered an injury while on international duty,” he said. “[Defender] Ghioane won’t play either. Everbody knows Inter are the strongest team in Italy and they are getting better and better.

“Of course they don’t always play at their best, but they have found consistency in the league. They are really strong and we respect them.

“Their victory at Genoa on Saturday proved their strength, but that performance doesn’t mean they will play the same way against us. The domestic league and the Champions League are two different competitions and usually teams play differently in Europe.
