Group F

Milan v Celtic
Martin O’Neill’s Celtic travel to the San Siro for their clash with Italian Champions Milan.

Celtic have opened a six-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premier as they go in search of their first European points this season. The Glasgow side are sure to be a stern test for Milan and have a real chance if they can raise the tempo of the game as Deportivo did to great effect last season.

“We knew how difficult the group was going to be with two very fine sides in our group, “said Martin O’neill, so it is a simple equation – we have to try and get something out of the game to stay in the competition.”

The Rossineri came back with only ten men to beat Lazio at the weekend, Shevchenko hitting form just at the right time to grab both Milan goals.

The Ukranian striker will start up front for Milan on his 28th birthday but coach Carlo Ancelotti is yet reveal whether Inzaghi, Tomasson or Crespo will partner him.

Jaap Stam is the most notable absentee from the starting XI, the Dutch centre-back is still recovering from an ankle injury.
