The draw for the next qualifying round of the Champions League has been made at UEFA headquarters at Nyon.
Under UEFA’s new seeding system for the tournament, clubs which do not qualify directly into the group stage have two ways of reaching the next phase.
One way is for teams progressing from the second qualifying round via the Champions Path. The other, known as the “Best placed Path” is for the remainder – for those participating in the ties to be played on July 28/29 and August 4/5.
The winners of the five best-placed path ties will then face one of Arsenal, Lyon, Stuttgart, Fiorentina and Atletico Madrid in the play-off round.
