The draw for the 3rd qualifying round of the 2002-03 Champions League has been made with several big clubs who harbour ambitions of winning the trophy, entering the competition.

Manchester United, Newcastle United, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and both Milan clubs are among the teams to join the competition at this stage, with the winners of the two-legged ties qualifying for the Champions League proper.

All the fancied sides wre seeded although Inter face arguably the toughest tie of of the lot, having to meet Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon for a place in the group stage.
