Chelsea are reported to be interested in recruiting Ajax coach Henk ten Cate as they look to reshape their coaching staff dollowing Jose Mourinho’s departure.

Reports emanating from Holland suggest Chelsea have sounded out ten Cate about a role at Stamford Bridge.

Ten Cate is highly regarded and enjoyed a highly successful spell as Frank Rijkaard’s assistant at Barcelona before taking up the reins at Ajax in the summer of 2006.

Dutch football magazine Voetbal International claims Chelsea’s technical director Frank Arnesen has held talks with ten Cate about a possible move to Stamford Bridge.
