Having failed to reach agreement with Sevilla over the signing of Daniel Alves, Chelsea appear to have switched their attention to his fellow countryman Juliano Belletti.
Jose Mourinho is looking for a new right-back but after failing to agree a fee with Sevilla for Alves, he has now made an approach for Barcelona full-back Belletti.
Belletti has shunned interest form Newcastle and looks set to complete a move to Stamford Bridge.
The 31-year-old is reported to be in London undergoing a medical before signing a deal with Chelsea.
