Chelsea are poised to sign to sign Murcia youngster Pedro Leon.
The 20-year-old midfielder has been an integral member of Murcia’s promotion push this season, but he now looks set for a summer move to the Premiership.
Marca reports that negotiations have been ongoing for some weeks and that Leon’s release clause is set at €5million.
Leon’s agent Pablo Garcia Quilon has confirmed that the two clubs will soon meet to complete the deal.
“It is correct the news, but we are waiting for a key meeting between the clubs to make the definitive advance,” Garcia Quilon told skysports.com.
“Murcia have known the subject from the first minute.”
The player has admitted that the lure of the Premiership champions is hard to ignore, declaring: “I am attracted by this challenge”.
