Cicinho, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United, has revealed his delight at signing a pre-contract with Spanish titans Real Madrid.

The 25-year-old Brazilian international held talks with Sir Alex Ferguson over a move to Old Trafford, but opted for a move to Spain when he heard of Real’s interest.

The Spanish club have agreed a deal with Sao Paulo which gives them first option on the right-back and he will join the Spaniards during the January transfer window.

“I am very happy, it’s a good agreement for Sao Paulo, for me and for Real Madrid,” Cicinho stated.

“For the time being I will continue to think about winning titles with and helping my club (Sao Paulo) as much as I can, as they have given me everything.

“I will think about Spain when I leave Sao Paulo.

“This circumstance will help my adaptation to the football and make things easier,” he added.
