Djibril Cisse has completed his move from Marseille to Panathinaikos in a transfer that could cost the Greek club more than £15million.
No official details of the deal were given but local reports said that Marseille would receive a fee of around £7million while Cisse will receive an annual salary of £2million over four years.
Cisse, who spent last season on loan at Premier League club Sunderland, was greeted by about 3,000 Panathinaikos supporters on his arrival at Athens airport.
Panathinaikos finished third in the Greek league last season, behind champions Olympiakos and PAOK, but will compete in the Champions League qualifiers afer winning an end-of-season play-off.
