Gael Clichy has dismissed talk of a move to Real Madrid by confirming his commitment to Arsenal.

Real president Florentino Perez has already signed Kaka from Milan and had an £80million bid accepted by Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo.

A number of additional targets have been linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu, and Clichy has been mooted as one of their targets.

However, the 23-year-old intends to at least see out the long-term deal he signed at Emirates Stadium last year.

Clichy told skysports.com: “I heard there is an interest from Real Madrid, but I have a contract with Arsenal which I intend to respect unless the club say otherwise.

“It is great to be linked with Real, but I want to win things with Arsenal.”
