Roma have officially confirmed the departure of coach Luigi Delneri, with Bruno Conti named as an immediate replacement.
The position of Delneri, who only joined Roma on September 27, replacing Rudi Voller, came under fresh scrutiny at ther weekend, following a 3-0 defeat to Cagliari.
Conti is expected to work alongside Ezio Sella, at present a coach of Roma’s youth team.
“I’m really happy and emotional too,” said Conti.
”Sella? We will see tomorrow but he should be there. I know him very well. I’ll be really happy if he will be close to me.”
