Parma defender Fernando Couto has been given a three-match ban after television picture showed him spitting at an opponent.
Couto was seen spitting at Livorno striker Erjon Bogdani during Parma’s 3-2 win on Sunday.
The incident was not spotted by the referee, but after reviewing television footage the former Portugual international has been banned.
Couto will now miss the games with Palermo, Siena and Juventus.
