Hernan Crespo admits he would like to stay at Internazionale but insists Chelsea still hold the key to his future.

The Argentine international, who joined Inter on a year-long deal from Chelsea last summer, expects the two clubs to reach a deal at the end of the season.

“I want to stay here, but the decision must be taken by Inter and Chelsea,” said Crespo.

Crespo was delighted to play – and score – in Inter’s 2-0 win at Chievo on Sunday, after a spell on the sidelines.

“At the beginning of this year I didn’t play as much so I was delighted to start on Sunday,” Crespo told Corriere dello Sport.

“The reality at this club is that there are many good players who are all fit at the moment.

“It’s not easy for [coach Roberto] Mancini to select his first-choice team and if we are left out then we must make sure we react in the right way.”
